    Part 2 of "The Other League"! As a deadly hunter continues his murderous quest for the Atlantean trident, an unknown chapter of Aquaman's life is revealed! Before he was a part of the Justice League, Aquaman was Arthur, the man from Atlantis, and leader of a mysterious team of adventurers. Armed with weapons forged in Aquaman's past, these men and women were on their way to becoming the most powerful people on Earth – until it all came crashing down.

    Aquaman #8 - The Others, Chapter Two by razzatazz on April 26, 2012

    The story arc proceeds pretty much as could be expected here with an issue that drops off somewhat in tone after a pretty decent lead-in.  There is nothing really wrong with it either, as they have introduced a lot of characters and plot points and it will take a few issues to sort all of them out.  What is noteworthy here as usual with Johns' writing is that the characters as portrayed very strongly and with more depth than many elsewhere.  There is a little bit of confusion with the back and f...

    Geoff Johns has never hesitated to expand or clarify the history and mythology of certain characters. His ideas tend to be big and this run on Aquaman is no exception as he pulls back the curtains on his past and shows that Arthur Curry may not always have been the boy scout we believed he was.Taking place 6 years in the past, humanity is knocking on Aquaman’s door demanding answers as it always does when something strange or alien upsets the status quo.     This is probably one of the best Aquaman covers thus far. It doesn't fall as badly into the usual traps of dull standard design. It's not a super spectacular cover, no, but it's at least well balanced. I do have one major gripe though, and it has to do with Ya'Wara's boobs. Every time I take a glance at the cover, the position she's in, combined with the way her top curves, makes it look like her boobs are half their size, and she's topless.
