Deadline attacks Aquaman when the Sea King goes to S.T.A.R. Labs for some improvements on his "hand." Meanwhile, Aquaman's son Koryak pays his first visit to Atlantis.
Deadline is hired to kill Aquaman by King Thesily, who begins plotting his assassination of Aquaman when he comes to land. While Aquaman, Dolphin and Koryak return to Poseidonis, being extremely surprised to see it in it's current condition. Aquaman then visits King Thesily who apologizes for his various behavior, while Aquaman makes arrangements with STAR Labs to replace his melted hook hand. Meanwhile Letfios mourns over Garth's skeleton, following the flesh eating water devouring him.
Aquaman then arrives to STAR Labs where Dr. McCoy attaches his new harpoon hand which responds to his thoughts. At that Same moment Deadline arrives at STAR Labs to fulfill his contract on Aquamans head. While back at Atlantis Koryak shows the various onlookers his hardwater powers, which frightens several of the xenophobic Atlanteans. At STAR Labs Deadline continues searching for Aquaman in the gas filled room, but is tricked by Aquaman and the battle is taken out of the lab into the streets,before into the air with Aquaman being dropped with Aquaman using his grappling hook to drag Deadline down with the two falling into the sewer and Deadline fleeing.
Back in Atlantis another earthquake begins, with Aquaman away Koryak leaps into action saving a young child and being thanked by the child and his mother, much to King Thesily's dismay. While elsewhere Garth washes up on a mysterious shore with an unknown man finding him.
