    Not the King they need

Throne of Atlantis is over and even though it had some really awesome splash pages it was average and didn't serve almost no purpose for it to be that big.It didn't affect the League that much and it was for Arthur only.He became the king and so far,for these two issues that have passed the Atlanteans are bowing before their king but they aren't taking him that serious.
After Arthur became the king of Atlantis somehow the stories just became cliche and didn't have that good feel as the last issues. We are now in front of the big bad guy that is coming and the whole consequences of his presence is just so much like a normal action movie from which you are sick. The whole story so far looks like a cliche and it feels like soon after the end of the story Arthur will leave the throne and will handle it back to Orm.You can feel that Johns has some special love for Aquaman and he made Aquaman a great character for me but here he reached the finish line.If he doesn't change something this will feel like your normal king story and you won't face anything new that will impress you.
Also Mera was becoming that dull character that can't interest you at all. She's currently getting that treatment that odd characters get or gods or something like that.Geoff Johns is trying to make her a character that can't fit the human world but that just isn't for her.She was looking amazing while she was with Arthur and now she isn't interesting to me.She is an awesome character but she shouldn't be getting through this kind of treatment.
The artwork by Paul Pelletier is the best thing in the issue but it just doesn't work that well as Ivan Reis. The job of Pelletier isn't easy because before him Reis was on artist's spot but he is doing quite well but the loss of Reis just affects me too much and is making things just a little bit less enjoyable for me.
The series continue to be good but after Throne of Atlantis Aquaman became that character that before the New 52 wasn't interesting to me and he shouldn't be like that.I still like what Aquaman is offering but just don't like where Johns is heading. He should take a different turn to the series.

      The Weapons Dealer 0

The GoodIn this issue, Aquaman and the Atlantean army are reclaiming and disposing of all the lost Atantean firearms around the seven seas, the ones that haven't made it to the surface yet to be specific. Knowing that there are air-breathing pirates stealing the Atlantean weaponry and selling them at the highest prices possible to meet their personal satisfactions, Arthur will have to act fast before the firearms fall into the wrong hands. However, the weapons dealer is already distributing them...

As everyone else has stated by now, it appears Aquaman's had time to shave since the last issue. Now this could be brushed aside as an aesthetic choice or perhaps fanboys craving the bearded badass of the 90's; but there's more to it than that, honestly. The problem with the loss of his stubble is that it implies he's had time to relax. He was stressed out last issue, and he's clearly still dealing with a lot, and the unshaven look is always a good representation of the onset of stress, and that...
