Not much happened.

But I'll let it slip.

It wasn't until I'd finished Aquaman #16 did I realize it's purpose.

It was a build-up issue. There was action, and some fantastic writing and a twist I did not see coming.

The writing was great, after the previous installment in the ToA arc, the writing was a little shaky; everyone was shouting and angry and Johns seemed to forget they were characters and made them all into Wonderhulk and Bathulk and Superhulk and Aquahulk.

The art was terrific, especially the suitably claustrophobic underwater sequences. The scenes in Boston were well illustrated, and I liked how in this issue, it was more of an even fight between the League and the Atlanteans with the activation of the Grid.

There was also a superb twist at the end which I did not see coming.

All in all, a brilliant issue. Not much happened, but it's OK because it's the penultimate issue of the arc and it's obviously all building up to the conclusion.

The PlotContinued from Justice League #16, we were left with the likes of Cyborg asking his father to equip him with the artificial lung that'll help him to adapt and breathe underwater in order to save Batman, Superman, & Wonder Woman from the captivity of Ocean Master. As I said in my Justice League #16 review, I wasn't originally planing to review this issue, but as I'm wanting to review the final issue in the crossover I thought that I might as well review the other two issues, and have a complete review on the storyline, which has been very enjoyable.PlotWith the Justice League out of play Cyborg has had to make a drastic decision, acquiring new temporary members as reinforcements.
