Antiphon is one of the Proemial Gods, who are said to prepare all that exists for what is to come. They were created to keep balance in the living universe. Edit
Antiphon has been in this universe since it was young and he was the first to be given the responsibility of overseeing the living universe. He had always stood neutral on Diableri's stance against Galactus and it is unknown whether or not he was present at the battle between Galactus and the Proemial Gods. When Aegis and Tenebrous returned to Galactus's prison they found the body of Antiphon who had apparently died when the Annihilation wave destroyed the prison.
