Anson Trask

Summary

Anson Trask is the son on a stormtrooper who also served in the 407th. He was fresh out of basic training right before the Battle of Borosk in the Second Imperial Civil War.

Overview

The Battle of Borosk

Anson Trask was right out of training and sent to Joker Squad right before the Battle of Borosk. He got lost on the way to Joker Squad and ran afoul of Darth Maleval, his superior officer but before the Sith Lord can do anything, Task is “rescued” by Sergeant Ran Harkas who yells at Trask and apologizing to Maleval, blaming it on Trask’s inexperience. Harkas brings Trask to the Joker’s camp and introduces him to the rest of the squad, nicknaming him “Noob.” Trask tries to talk to Hondo Karr but Karr ignores him because he doesn’t bother learning noob’s name. He quickly makes friends with Jes Gistang, who explains who everyone is when Vax Potorr takes Trask’s gear to get better gear. When Trask finds out about a pool on how long he will live in battle, Jes and Vax bet he will only last six hours but he puts ten creds on a month. A short time later Lieutenant Gil Cassel shows up and tells them that the 407 is being deployed to Borosk to fight the 908, who is defecting to the Fel Empire and Darth Maleval is there to make sure the 407 doesn’t defect as well.

During the first day of battle Trask freezes because he felt unprepared for the noise and confusion of battle and he is unsure if he can fire on fellow stormtroopers. He was disgusted and slightly afraid of Darth Maleval because he killed stormtroopers regardless of what side they were on. As Jes reloaded her blaster, a trooper from the 908 almost shot her but Trask shot the trooper claiming that the enemy was anyone trying to kill a Joker. That night Trask talked to Jes about his first day of battle and she gives him a brief history of the members of the squad. Trask is silent when Darth Maleval tells the group that they will be on the front lines because of Lieutenant Cassel’s offer of surrender to the 908. When the rest of the squad voices their dissent to the Lieutenant and Sergeant, Harkas asks Trask what a trooper’s duty was and Trask answers that it is to follow the orders of a superior officer and Harkas uses this to motivate the squad to continue on. Trask watches as Vax and Jes die and Harkas gets badly wounded. After the battle Darth Maleval brings Lieutenant Cassel his brother and tells the Lieutenant to kill his brother. When he refuses Maleval kills them both and Hondo Karr attack. Darth Maleval quickly subdues Karr but Trask shoots him in the back and kills the Sith; Karr thanks him and walks away. After the battle as Harkas is being taken away to have his injuries treated, he tells Trask that he is no longer a noob and he needs to keep the squad together until h returns.

Search on Ossus

Trask follows the rest of Joker Squad to Ossus to search for Jedi in the Jedi Academy. While there he and the Squad find the Jedi Wolf Sazen, K’Kruhk and Shado Vao. Vao uses a mind trick and the Squad leaves.

Search on Napdu

After the orbital bombardment of Napdu Trask goes with Joker Squad down to the surface where they have orders to shoot everyone they find regardless if they are dead or alive. Trask says that he thinks what they are doing is wrong and Sergeant Harkas agrees but is says it is their duty to follow orders no matter what.

The Battle of Taivas

During the battle of Taivas, the second to last battle of the war, Trask rallies Joker Squad after Sergeant Harkas is killed and ultimately survives.

Powers

Anson Trask was a human male who had no superpowers nor was he Force-sensitive. He was a trained and capable soldier. Trained as a stormtrooper he survived one entire war. His training made him proficient with a blaster rifle and other military weapons.

Personality

Anson Trask was more naive because he was new trooper. He was described as an optimist but by the end of his first battle he was a more hardened soldier. He was also a capable leader that can rally troops after Harkas is killed.

Anson was equipped with standard stormtrooper armor and blaster rifle.
