Kingdom come Pt. 3
#3 of Annihilation. Following the previous issues, this story gets better and better with each issue. Plummeting us deeper and deeper into the war, revealing more and more the convoluted plans of the Mad Titan Thanos. At this point, it really felt like the whole universe was going to explode with awesomeness!
The issue starts off with a very pleasant image. Drax repeatedly stabbing the Delinquent over and over again. Nova, Starlord, and Phyla fend off the hordes of Negative Zone soldiers while Ronan fights off Ravenous. Redshift and Stardust arrive to realize that the battles already been lost, and that they need to make an escape plan for the troops. In space Annnihilus' destroys his fleets out off anger, sending a message to his remaining troops. Thanos then reveals his plans utilizing Galactus and Silver Surfer. He has converted Galactus into a weapon. One that will siphon cosmic energies, but instead of absorbing them for nutrients, they wiil be redirected as the most awesome lazer beam ever! Ronan and Ravenous' fight spills over into the infermary, reawakening Firelord who then joins the fight. Outside, Gamoura gains the upper hand over Terrax, who begs her to end his cursed existence. Before she can she is swept up by Stardust who tells her something bad is coming. Kl'rt, the mighty super Skrull, reawakens after being revitalized by energies emitted by Firelord and Ronan. The United Front then boards an excape ship, while Drax remains on site to fend off the Annihilation wave single handedly. Thanos then fires the Galactus powered lazer at the planet, teleporting Annihilus' troops and seemingly killing Redshift and Stardust before it touches ground. Ronan then decides it's time to pay House Fiyero a little visit. Accompanying him are Praxagora, and Super Skrull.
Oh yeah, this one's a five. Keith Giffen really worked wonders in this title, and Andrea Divito really delivered on the art. Also I love the cover by Gabriele Dell'Otto, showing Ravenous clutching a battle worn Nova Helmet. So, interested then read it! Nice readings, and enjoy!
