    Annie Oakley, whose real name was Phoebe Ann Mosey, was an iconic American sharpshooter and exhibition shooter in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She became famous for her exceptional marksmanship, often performing in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Annie Oakley's remarkable shooting skills and independent spirit have made her a legendary figure in American history.

    Annie Oakley was born on August 13, 1860, in Darke County, Ohio, USA. She grew up in a poor family and learned to shoot at a young age to help provide food for her siblings. Her early experiences in hunting and marksmanship set the stage for her remarkable career as a sharpshooter.

    Marvel versions

    In the 40s and 50s, Marvel published its own versions of Annie Oakley, both blonde and made very beatiful:

    1.-The first one was published in Annie Oakley #1-4 and stared in various romantic adventures, and was set in the 1940s time, with movies and telephones.

    2. Later, Marvel published a more time-acurate version of Oakley in Annie Oakley #5-11, as western adventurer native to Buena Vista, only daughter of a pair of ranchers. This Annie Oakley shared few background with his real counterpart, but she ended marrying the comic version of Oakley husband, Frank Butler. Annie also worked for the Buffalo Wild Show and become a friend of Marvel Western heroes like the Rawhide Kid, Kid Colt and Wyatt Earp.
