Simple yet touching
This is a semi-official illustrated biography of the famous girl from the Netherlands who detailed the struggles of life under the Nazi rule. The Diary of Anne Frank is one of the most important documents of the 20th century, but this story does not seek to supplant it in a different medium, rather to compliment it. A lot of the major details of the Diary are left out, in their place more of the background of the person are provided, as well as the events that followed her death. Those looking for an introduction to Anne Frank might indeed want to start with this, but a thorough understanding of the person can only be achieved by reading her diary.
