When Spider-Man wanted some information about Eddie Brock's history, he turned to Ann Weying, Eddie Brock's ex-wife. She followed Spider-Man to an amusement park, where Venom was holding Spidey's fake parents. Ann managed to persuade Eddie to stop. Sin-Eater then shot Ann Weying and the symbiote attached it's self to her to save her life. She became She-Venom and she attacked the men who hurt her. The way she attacked the men frightened Eddie. The symbiote went back to Eddie and when Ann saw the bodies she screamed, "That thing made me do that!" Eddie replied, "It can't make you do anything you don't really want to do." She was later incarcerated by the police under false charges. Using her one phone call, Ann called Eddie and told him not to come for her. Eddie promised and sent a symbiote through the phonelines. It bonded to her and she broke out of prison. Ann was still coping with the experience of the symbiote bonding to her and with Eddie back in her life. When Eddie transformed into Venom before her very eyes, she could not take it any more and committed suicide by jumping off her high rise apartment.
