Anko Mitarashi

History

early life

As a child Anko Mitarashi grew up in a time of war. She idolized Orochimaru of the sanin and wished one day to be as powerful as he was. After graduating from the academy and it came time be assigned to a jounin she wasn't very hopeful of being assigned to her idol because he had never taken on any apprentices. Her skills in ninjutsu were considerable and she showed great promise and thus she became the first and only apprentice of Orochimaru while he was in the leaf village.

She studied under Orochimaru and learned many of his secrets. He gave her the same curse mark that he would eventually give to Sasuke years later and he said that he'd given the curse mark to ten people, but only her and another survived. Until Anko went on a mission with Ino, Shino, and Naruto she thought she was abandoned by Orochimaru , but she soon came to realize that

Orochimaru thought she lacked power and the drive to gain it so he said he gave her a choice, she can come along or she can stay and die. Anko chose to stay but she didn't die and she found a home with Konoha.

Life after orochimaru

When she was found and her cures mark sealed she learned that orochimaru had abandoned the village and though distraught she used the skills she had learned and rose in rank through the years to become a special jounin and a chunin exam instructor.

She makes her first appearance as the second exam instructor and is noted as a dangerous teacher in Naruto's eyes because when he complained at the Chuunin exams she threw a kunai at him and it grazed his cheek, then she went up behind him and licked the blood.

She observes the exam from afar and when she senses Orochimaru she rushes in and tries to kill him before anyone can be hurt. This fails however and she is paralyzed by him. She later informs the The Third Hokage of his presence and protects the village when the sand and Sound attack. She is present when the 3rd is found dead and attends his funeral. She doesn't play a major role again until after Naruto returns to the village.

Shippuden

The next we hear of Anko she has been assigned to track down Kabuto along with Yamato so that konoha can get information from him. This is after Orochimaru has been killed by Sasuke. She is left alone on her mission when Yamato rturns to the village as he realizes that the seal containing the 9 tailed fox is about to be released.

She continues the mission alone even after Danzo becomes temporary Hokage and Tsunade is left comatose. Unknown to her agents of root are tracking her down with orders to kill her from Danzo (Story is ongoing)

Skills and abilities

Anko is proficient in many forbidden techniques as a result of time spent under Orochimaru. Most notably the twin snakes mutual death which is a double edged technique which kills the user and the opponent. She is very fast and accurate with kunai. She has shown the ability to Summon snakes and is a fire elemental like orochimaru.
