I started reading the Anita Blake novels in January. I was excited to hear that Marvel was already in the process of making a comic out of the first novel. I am very, very pleased with the comic. Being a fan of the books, I'm glad they stayed true to the text and characters. The fact that they're letting Laurell K. Hamilton, the author, help with the comics makes me feel better because I know she will help guide them through her characters and make sure they don't do anything to make the fans angry.
Even though I have read the first 9 books, I still look forward to reading the newest issue of Guilty Pleasures every month. I always love when a new character is introduced. I'm hoping the rumors are true: that every Anita Blake novel will be made into a comic.
