This issue treads a very precarious line. Nearly the entire thing is a comic rendition of the fictional independent film 'Tights' in which Buddy Baker previously starred. Alone its not the greatest thing in the world, it's generally what one would expect from an independent film about a down and out minor superhero, but what makes this issue click is context. Jeff Lemire has not been writer Animal Man as your normal super-hero comic. He'd been writing a nice family tale that just happens to involve a super-hero. Now, he is taking his shot at screen plays!  THE GOOD: The art is amazing in this issue. I really like how they add a lot of details in the pages and you get a feeling of the characters you are probably only going to see in this issue. There are two artist but they have a similar style and it made it very clear when we were in the real world ...
