    Love!

This is another issue of animal man that needs a review. It's just perfect in every way. From start to finish. I can see why it gets a high praise. Not only does this issue break the fourth wall, but it's also leaves you with a bittersweet ending. This is a must read indeed

I really like the multiple reference to early Looney Tunes cartoons mostly the Wile E. Coyote stuff, but also the cartoon Duck Amuck featuring Daffy Duck. Even having the truck's company with Ajax was perfect. Even though Acme was he company Wile used.

The other thing I liked was all the bittersweetness to the issue. The fact Buddy want to go vegetarian, but his family kind of doesn't. The fact the girl is pick up by a random stranger on the highway. The fact that this cartoon character has a horrible life and basically wants to die.

If you really want to see where Morrison's talent in writing really shines, read this issue. In fact read this entire run of Animal Man. DO IT!

Coyote was an actual living breathing coyote-man. Now imagine if he was also a Christ figure, a redeemer for an entire world. Further imagine that another man was convinced that the Coyote...

      Holy Martyrs, Animal Man! 0

This is my third installment of the Grant Morrison reviews celebrating the fact that he’s finally been given Superman. This issue of Animal Man really blew me away the first time I read it. In the piece, Animal Man meets an anthropomorphic coyote man who cannot be killed by the name of Crafty. Crafty hands Animal Man his “Gospel” which tells the story of his struggle. Crafty comes from a world that’s very much like the Looney Tunes cartoon universe. All day long, cartoon creatures are locked in ...
