ironhawk22's Animal Man #13 - Rotworld: The Red Kingdom, Part One review

Reborn in the Rot...

Plot: Rotworld begins...and the world ends????

Art: Is mostly good. The art is nice, but not the main selling point for this issue.

Story and Script: The script is great, but it's Lemire so not really any surprises there. The story is extremely compelling, as are the characters. Steel is fantastic here, he's the Superman of the group in a way. He's a symbol of hope in a world without it.

It's fantastic to see Beast Boy here as well. This issue parallels Swamp Thing #13, while I have mixed emotions on that it works and is well done. John Constantine isn't the star of this issue but he mine as well be, in the one scene he appears in he steals the show.

Now to the main negative. The cliffhanger if true is a disappointment, as I like the characters that appear to be dead.

Overall: Buy this!

Shepherd (the guy who took Buddy across the red world in a boat in some previous issue. By the way, I know you guessed wrong) are still ...
