When seven extraterrestrial predators arrived on Earth, they started to slaughter hundreds of humans, they started to feed their spinal fluids.

A 16 year old teenager Courtney Mason had problems with her family and that led her to rebel against them. Courtney went alone in a run and was kidnapped by a cult that wanted to sacrifice her to the parasites of them, their names were Pritor and Lissik. Using their bites the parasites could be able to unleash something named the Animus, the animus was a strong extra-dimensional creature. The creature used Courtney as a portal to enter the world and absorb the spirit essences of the living and the dead people.

When the teen titans were called to make an investigation about a biohazard situation that took place in New Orleans, they found Courtney, she was angered to everyone because of what the parasites had done to her and wanted to have her revenge, by coincidence she found the teen titans.

With the help of the titans Courtney stopped the cult and started to meditate about her place in the world, she realized that her life wouldn't be the same anymore and that she was now one of the most powerful beings.

After that she decided to leave his family and become an heroine, she used her powers to help people and make the world a better place.

Zero Hour

The events of Zero Hour, also known as the time crisis changed the DCU dramatically and Anima wasn't the exception. After these events she learned that the animus had a different nature, it's origin came from the shadow realm of the nameless one, a place where only fear and evil existed.

Death?

Deathstroke created his own team of titans to fight the current incarnation of it, they established themselves in the island that used to be "Titans Island", the two teams fought and in the end with the help of Nightwing, Donna Troy, Duela Dent, Batgirl, Beast Boy and Flash (Bart Allen) they defeated Deathstroke's team and reclaimed titans island

Cyborg tried to get together a new team using the founding members and also members from the new teen titans, after everyone else declined he decided to use new and young talents as the new team. Along those new members was Anima who was invited to form the newest incarnation of titans east. She met there her future teamates; Powerboy, Lagoon boy, Little Barda, Vulcan and Hawk and Dove. Their first mission was to take down Powerboy since he was the most powerful of them, that would also help to see if they could act as a team.

Anima is attacked with the rest of the team by a mysterious villain

However the mission didn't go well, the rest of the team discovered the body of Powerboy totally burned and hanging on a tree, just after that beams from the sky started to appear attacking the newly formed titan team, the issue ends with the bodies of the entire team unconscious in the ground, although it's obvious and confirmed that Powerboy is dead, nothing has been said or declared about the rest of the team, so there's no way to know if

they are alive or not, if they survived or if they didn't.
