Andreas Von Strucker is the son of Baron Strucker and the twin brother of Andrea Von Strucker. While in-utero, Andreas and his sister were bio-enginered to have superpowers. As a result they must be in skin to skin contact with eachother to use their powers. They ussually accoplished this by holding hands. After Andrea's death Andreas, who was being controled by the Purple man at the time, flayed off some of the skin from her corpse and preserved it so he could continue to use his powers. He now has a piece of it wraped around the hilt of his sword

While being controlled by the Purple Man, Andreas was sent to kill Baron Strucker. While atempting this, Baron Strucker was attacked by Wolverine, who was at the time being controlled by a splinter group of HYDRA, called The Dawn Of The White Light. Andreas protected his father and also prevented him from killing Wolverine.
