The Legend of Anansi goes that one day a female panther mocked Anansi, as a punishment Anansi turned the panther into a human. Anansi told the panther he would only turn her back if she built a great city called Kara Digi. The panther did this and married Oba of Houka. The Houka people hunted for food for Anansi and he became quite fat. He was so pleased Anansi turned the Panther back into a panther.

The Panther Queen now missed her children and begged Anansi to turn her children into panthers as well. Anansi agreed but would only change one child. The Panther Queen choose her eldest son. Anansi didn't want to turn the Panther Queen's son into a panther and tried to turn him against his mother but failed and when the boy decided to become a panther Anansi was so annoyed he drove the people of Kara Digi away. Anansi was left hungry.

In 1990 Anansi was forced to enter into an alliance for food with a man called Fara Maku. Anansi arranged for Fara Maku and his girlfriend Teat to become a were panthers at night to hunt for him. This was plot was stopped by Goliath, Angela, Elisa and Bronx and Tea and Fara betrayed Anansi. After Goliath defeated Anansi he teleported Away.

Anansi returned to Avalon for the Gathering.
