The son of Abin Sur, the dying Green Lantern that bestowed his power ring to Hal Jordan. Amon became leader of the criminal syndicate Black Circle and later a member of the Sinestro Corps. He was killed in cold blood by Laira.

Amon Sure isn't really Abin Sur's son.

Tales of the GLC issue three; Abin Sur finds an orphaned boy at the tale of the empire of tears...does he choose it to be his son...could be after all years later...he dies.
