On Amys 13 birthday she learns that she is a princess from another world called Gemworld. Her family, the Amethyst family, was the most powerful magic users in Gemworld so they were the rulers. She was brought to Gemworld by a family friend named Citrina who was a powerful witch. Amy learns that her real parents were killed by a villian named Dark Opal who killed her parents and took over Gemworld. He tried to kill Amy but Citrina took her to Earth to be raised by the Winstons. When Amy enters Gemworld she is turned into a 20 year old woman, but still has the mind of a 13 year old. She learns her abilities, practices them with Citrina, and sets out to destroy Dark Opal and claim her throne.
