Putting the WOW in Wonder Woman!
Recommendation: "Yes, Indeed!"
I have to be honest - This was my first Wonder Woman comic book. Ever.
I am impressed.
As a quick side note, it should be stated that this is the print version of the digital-first comics published earlier this year. Here is the "Story Arc" as recorded on Comic Vine: http://www.comicvine.com/ame-comi-girls/39-56800/
I picked it up because it was produced by my favorite creative team... so at least I knew it was going to be good, regardless of the subject matter. Some people just work well together. And time and time again, Jimmy, Justin, Amanda and Paul ALWAYS manage to produce fantastic work.
There were other creators on this project that I want to acknowledge as well: Tony Akins, Walden Wong, Wes Abbott, Dustin Nguyen and Randy Mayor. It is worth mentioning, though the art changed from pages 20-21, this team worked well enough together to produce a flawlessly flowing story with non-disruptive art style changes. Bravo.
What can be said about Amanda Conner's art that hasn't already been said? She is amazing. Her art is amazing. Wonder Woman must just fall out of her pens and pencils. Just beautiful.
As a new reader for Wonder Woman, it was great to get all the background I needed to understand the character, some of her abilities, and most importantly - her resolve.
As we reach the end of the story, the true villains are revealed... I am interested in where this story will take me, especially as it will continue to introduce me to characters I am mostly unfamiliar with...
