    Amazing X-Men #1 2

This issue had fun, it had adventure, it had humor, it had heart, it had substance and hellishly good story-telling (no pun intended -- okay, a small one maybe). This is what the X-Men should be! There was no in-fighting, only that of a typical family which was pretty darn funny, in my opinion. There was no competition to see who rules the roost of the franchise. There were no heroes fighting heroes. This was the X-Men, as a team and a family with great character moments for everyone.I admit, I...

"Amazing X-Men" #1 certainly lives up to its name.Kudos to Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness for delivering a book that kept me interested the entire way through. Nightcrawler has always been one of my favorite characters, but wow. Aaron and McGuinness truly blew me away with this issue. If you haven't been keeping up with recent X-Men events, you might not understand some of the background conversations that happen on the pages. Things like Bobby referencing Kitty Pryde's leaving the school and the ...

This review was originally posted on my website Imagination Centre (here). This has been a series that I've been looking forward to for a long long time now, and with the disappointing ending of Battle of the Atom I was even more excited for the release of this issue and the return of my second favourite X-Man.PlotAlthough he's in paradise Nightcrawler can't quite enjoy heaven, and even more so when his father Azazel turns up. Meanwhile Firestar joins the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning and ...

Nightcrawler's Back, Baby, and Better Than Ever! 0

When I first heard about this series, I was fairly irritated.Another character brought back from the dead? Sure, I've always liked the blue elf, but it felt like Marvel was cheating what was one of the more impactful deaths in comics. Not to mention it was being written by Jason Aaron, author of Wolverine: Japan's Most Wanted (which I found completely devoid of good ideas) and Wolverine and the X-Men, which just isn't my cup-o-joe. Not to mention, don't we have too many X-Men comics as it is?Lit...
