    Tensions flare in Alpha Flight when an agitated Snowbird attacks - by transforming into Sasquatch! How will this affect the dynamics of the team?

    Snowbird learns from the Northern Gods Nelvanna, Hodiak and Turoq that the form of Sasquatch is actually Tanaraq, one of the Great Beasts that she is sworn to destroy. Puck and Talisman are training when Aurora and Walt arrive with news that someone is destroying the city. There they find Caliber firing blasts at the buildings. Sasquatch get shot by one of his blasts but at the end Alpha Flight manage to defeat him combining their powers. Sasquatch goes away alone and hurt and suddenly Snowbird shows up and attack him with fury in her owl form. Aurora grabs her while Talisman tries to arrest Sasquatch with her power, with no success. Snowbird tells everyone that Sasquatch is actually the Great Beast Tanaraq, tranform into a white Tanaraq herself and fight him. At the end she rips his heart from his chest, killing the body of Walt in the process. Now they have to go the Kingdom of Great Beasts to retrieve Walt's soul.

    Old School Fun 0

    Backstory: My girlfriend's Dad bought me a big bag of old comics from the local antique mall and this was one of them. Back in the day I read a little bit of Alpha Flight but don't remember it being this much fun.  The Good: Everything in this comic is self contained in a single issue. If this was done today it would have been drug out over a 6 issue limtied series and cost at least $20. Another old school element I feel that has been lost today is the reference points used.     Puck Part 16: Alpha Flight #23 0

    Puck confronts a new villain, and an old friend…  Judd’s exercising his natural ease around women as he trains Elizabeth Twoyoungmen in some hand-to-hand combat when news comes of a villain terrorizing downtown named Caliber. Judd uses his skills to distract him, but it’s Sasquatch that deals the final blow that knocks Caliber out. The next thing Judd sees, aside from the sky getting darker, is Snowbird swoop in, turn into an owl and attack Sasquatch. She explains that Sasquatch is actually Tan...
