    All the cards revealed

This new arc story is reaching beyond my early expectations as Bendis introduces a new tension between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, with dialogues so sharp and corrosive that will be tough for them to be friends again. This feat is at the same time great - because it shows that Rogers´pissed because of what Tony did behind his back - but bad too, ´cause it praticaly throws away all the bond created in Avengers Prime and the early issues of this volume. Besides all the grudge and dispute between these two, this issue was incredible for the narrative dynamic that Bendis imposed, balancing the story about how Robbins started his plans with the Avengers dealing about the revelation of the Illuminati and the threat of the Infinity Gems: this was a great harmony for the book. JRJR´s art improved a lot in this issue - when you have to call three inkers for help, maybe it´s because the artist just can´t handle the job anymore - specially in the panels showing Robbins in the joint, but I liked the scenes in the Himalays too. This was one of the best issues of this volume, the writing was great, but the art needs to change, a.s.a.p, urgent!!!

In a surprisingly strong issue, the secret of the Illuminati finally comes out and we learn how the Hood discovered the secret of the Infinity Gems. It's an issue of much needed explanations and an overall well done one.  Finally, we get our clash between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. We got a little of this early on in Avengers Prime, but that was nothing as substantial as this. Steve does not take learning of the Illuminati well at all, and the writing makes it easy to understand why. It is eas...

A tense talk fest - Avengers style! 0

So crunch time comes for Iron Man, Professor X and the rest of the Illuminati... They had to know they had it coming, especially when they started messing around with the Infinity Gems... So Steve Rogers gets really cranky and gives Iron Man a stern talking to! But you know what? This issue was great! We find out what has been happening with the Hood behind the scenes, and the exposing of all the dirty secrets about Iron Man, Namor and cronies just had to come out, and it's dealt with quite well...
