All-Star Superman
Synopsis
Clark Kent/Superman finds that he's dying and it's up to him to find a cure before it's too late. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor's plan goes well as he attempts to destroy Superman once and for all.
The Good
Although, I haven't read the All-Star Superman comics. This was a fun movie. I liked the fact that Superman is dying of a different cause rather than just kryptonite. It's good to see that Clark has revealed his true identity to Lois Lane. It was also nice to see that Lois Lane has given the similar powers as Superman. Lex Luthor's evil deeds never go away as he always comes up with a new plan to destroy Superman. The animation style depicted from the original comics, was strikingly similar and outstanding.
The Bad
There are few problems to this movie. Since I haven't read the comics, there are missing parts which wasn't included in the movie. For example, the front cover of All-Star Superman #7 showing Supes battling his cloned version, Bizarro. I'm assuming that Bizarro should have appeared in the movie but I don't understand why it was taken out. I would certainly loved to see that. The scenes were also rushed since the movie ran for 76 minutes. There wasn't enough good pacing and I felt the runtime should have been longer as I expected from other animated movies.
The Verdict
As I much to say for this movie, I had a super ride with Superman. For Superman fans out there, you should check out this movie. But you should also read the comics as well since this movie isn't enough to tell the whole story. This Superman receives four all-stars out of five.
