Wow, was this issue great, or what?
While letting Lois temporarily have Kryptonian powers for a day, they run into obvious Silver Age characters Atlas and Samson, who try hitting on Lois. Ol' Supes doesn't like that one bit. Lois gets a kick out of it and lets them go through a "super contest" to see who gets her. There's a few turns when the time traveling Samson reveals that he knows that Superman will eventually die, as well as steals jewelry from an ancient mythological creature.
This is awesome. It's an obvious Silver Age type story, but with Modern sensibilities added into it to make it both believable (as much as it can be) as well as very entertaining to read. I'm sold with the rest of this series. More writers should try to revitalize stories in such a way.
