    Curse of the Replacement Supermen

This is perhaps the greatest issue of any Superman I have ever read. Where to begin? Grant Morrison is a masterful writer, and here he really shines. He captures every character perfectly, and I just kept wishing the issue wouldn't end. I really hope he stays on the team. Frank Quitely is outstanding as a penciler, with each line screaming with beauty and originality. The team weaves a story with Silver Age charm, but modern day awesomeness. Every moment of this story screams amazing, and I sincerely am putting this on the top of my pull list for months to some. Cudos to both men for proving that DC has quality comics.

For All Star Superman -this issue was OK...

    Curse of the Replacement Supermen

I have waited for this issue for seams like forever, but finally I got it. Frankly this issue was a good filler, but it did not "WOW" me like the first eight issues. I found the issue drawn out, this story could have given us more, but didn't. However, the charm was a hit, Superman delivers his cool, calm and collected side as always. The new supermen put him down, go thru his things, talk about his father, bust up his work, change earth-really they take over. Once again this series shows that a good comic does not have to have earth shattering fights and chaos. The simplicity is masterful, I just wanted some more insite as what they did. The issue ended too fast, but I did find it good. Where was the back story for their arrival, or the opinion of the city. Jimmy, by the way, I love him, Kryptonian wear...HA 3.5 for this one but not a 5.0 like the rest of the series. I will be waiting cash in hand for the next issue.
