Great throw back to Golden Age Superman
The Good
I'm the first to admit that I don't know a ton about Superman other than his Golden Age origin. I know about his flight from a doomed Krypton, his adolescence in Smallville with the Kents, and his work at the Daily Planet with Lois Lane. The basics. This series, or at least the first 6 issues in this trade, does a great job of re-introducing us to Superman. What I really enjoyed was the artwork. Both the penciling and coloring were beautiful, combining the classic visual of Superman and his crew with colors that were really vibrant. It looks like an old school comic revamped for a modern audience, and I loved that. The portrayal of Clark Kent was perfect, creating a chasm between him and his superhero persona so great that the later revealing to Lois was all the more fun to read.
