    They're back!! 1

Overview: Bendis continues his initiation as a X men writer in the second installment of All New X menThe Good: This story is great from front to back in my opinion. The Art work is simply amazing, Immonen has to be one of the best artist in the industry today and it shows in every panel during this book, it is simply gorgeous in every way. The way Bendis writes the original 5 is very good in my opinion, they are shocked and confused but they are the X MEN DAMN IT, and will not sit back while ot...

    All-New X-men #2 - Review 10

The Good:From the very start, Bendis nails it with a plot that will keep you interested and excited at all time. At first, the idea of having the original 5 X-men coming to the present may have sounded crazy and maybe even bad, but it turns out it isn't.There was a lovely piece of dialogue between the characters, most of all Beast and the original 5. It was very enjoyable to see their reactions once they heard about their futures. Sadly, Warren did not get to know his. I was curious to know how ...

Previously:As Hank had begun to feel the growing pains of perhaps his last mutation (he has become too physically unstable for his heart and brain to easily function), he felt the need to make things right before his possible death. In order to stop a mutant civil war against Cyclops and his brigade (Emma and Magneto so far), he decided that desperate times called for desperate measures. He knew that Iceman was right when he said, "The Scott we grew up with--He would hate this. He would slap the...

    Past Meets Present 0

When I first heard of this series I wasn't too sure what to expect, but the first issue was very good. It's nice to see a X-Men series which involves both X-Men teams, and the addition of the younger versions of the X-Men make the series even more interesting.PlotThis issue sees Beast from the present continue to persuade the X-Men of the past to come and try and fix the present. They eventually agree and Beast brings them to the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning where the past meets the pres...

    Pick of the Week!!!! 0

Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!Like I said about the last issue I wasn't totally sold on the idea of the original X-men coming forward in time it just seemed a bit lame I obviously would give it a try since Bendis can write great stories and Stuart Immonen is a truly great artist. With a strong first issue I decided to pick up the next and it is so good!PlotKitty and Bobby are suspicious of what Hank is doing and break into his lab and try to hack his computer but fail. The original X-men are brought forward...

I quite literally JUST finished this issue. I just sat it on the desk next to me, fully prepared to review it. I've sat here for a while trying to think what to say to express how this book has impressed me but I am lost for words. The story in issue one was like the opening act of a play, setting events in motion. Act 2/issue 2 is grabs us and pulls us into the thick of things and the story gets rolling. Not only does it roll quickly but splendidly. The writing on this book is utterly amazing. ...

    How far we've fallen...I guess 0

Time travel is tricky business and I don't think Beast is well suited for it.His wacky plan involving past Cyclops is nice, but I don't know why the other X-Men were brought along, it's just kind of a weird nitpick. This issue is a bit better than the last one, picking up the pacing and actually having things happen. The cover lies once more though as it focuses more on the past X-Men, who were of course on the last cover which focused on the group on this cover...I don't get it. But I don't get...

The Strangest Teens of All 0

Well, I missed issue one and I've missed current comics for a little while, but when I heard the original 60's X-men lineup was coming back and confronting their future counterparts, I couldn't resist. I was skeptical about the technicalities of the time travel and Beast experiencing yet another "mutation" and the prospect of death, but I picked this up and was glad I did. Imonen's art seems be getting a lot of praise, and while it's solid and there are some great panels in this book, overall it...
