    I've been loving this series since the start, and although it's not been the best Marvel NOW! series it has been one of my favourites, and it's one of the series I look most forward to reading.     Character development is key 0

    This issue takes a breath to develop Jean Grey. Jean is powerful and impetuous. When Angel chooses to join current timeline Cyclops and his team, Jean attempts to forcefully intercede and "make" Angel stay with the original team, she learns a powerful and painful lesson from the Cuckoos, whom at this point are more adept with their powers. I enjoy reading how Jean is portrayed in this book. She is drawn and written as a teenager, which is what she is. She is strong but weak. She is lost and "ref...

    For such a hyped up issue, I was very disappointed.Admittedly, as an avid reader of the Uncanny X-Men well before this series, I knew who would be leaving the team here. Yet, even beyond that, this is a very bland entry that fumbles with the same ideas as the previous issue did with less than stellar results.The biggest issue I have with this issue is how much faffing about there is. Once the character who leaves is revealed, there's a lot of unnecessary chatter and such that occurs for much too...
