    Biography (Film)

    Friday the 13th

Alice Hardy came from a wealthy family in California and dreamed of someday becoming a professional artist. In order to prove that she could hold down a job, she got a job as a camp counselor at Crystal Lake, New Jersey. There she had apparently began a relationship with middle-aged camp owner Steve Christy that ended badly (Possibly because she didn't consent to Christy's advances), and she instead warmed up to her much nicer fellow counselor Bill. Alice was a somewhat squeamish sort, easily frightened and afraid even of harming animals she knew would harm her (Like a snake that had gotten into the cabin, which she ordered Bill to kill for her). Alice much preferred sketching, attempting to play guitar, and taking naps by the fireplace. Sadly, Alice was forced to give in to her killer instincts when her fellow counselors started being dispatched one-by-one. After finding Bill's corpse and realizing she was alone, Alice barricaded herself in, then left the cabin when she heard what she thought was Christy pulling up.

Despite her dislike of the lecherous camp owner, Alice was glad to see anyone, but the person pulling in wasn't Steve Christy, it was Pamela Voorhees, who had actually been the one who had killed all of her friends. Alice initially believed the older woman was just a friendly neighbor...until Pamela began ranting about the death of her son Jason. Realizing that Pamela was the killer, Alice fled, and tried on three separate occasions to escape without resorting to violence. Unfortunately, the stress mounted, until, grabbing Pamela's machete, Alice beheaded the insane woman in one swift stroke. Horrified by her own brutality and traumatized by the death of her friends, Alice curled up in a kayak and drifted off onto Crystal Lake, sleeping much like she often did in front of fireplaces.

And then the rotting corpse of Jason Voorhees leapt out of the water and dragged her under.

Alice would come to dismiss this horrifying encounter with a living corpse as a dream, and indeed, that is all it may have been. Sadly, it would soon prove to be horribly prophetic both for her and for the town of Crystal Lake.

Friday the 13th Part 2 (Novelization)

Alice was bailed out from suspicion of the murders thanks to her parents in California, and she returned two months later to Crystal Lake, along with her pet cat in order to face her fears, and rented a beat up Victorian house. She went walking down to Crystal Lake, where Jason saw her, and began following her.

Friday the 13th Part 2 (Film)

Alice woke from yet another horrifying flashback/nightmare. She knew her dreams were trying to tell her something. She took a shower to clam herself, but it did nothing. She then decided to feed her cat, but as she opened the fridge door, she found the decapitated head of Pamela Voorhees inside! Alice knew someone was in the house, and reached for an icepick to defend herself. Someone had beaten her to it though, and Alice Hardy slumped to the floor, an icepick in her head. Jason Voorhees had avenged his mother's death. Alice's body was never found.

    Friday the 13th (2009 remake)

Alice slew Mrs. Voorhees, just like in the original, which was witnessed by Jason. This version seemingly really was responsible for Jason's apparent drowning.

    Comics

Alice appears briefly in a flashback in the 6th issue of Wildstorm's Friday the 13th series. Here her clothes are red.

Alice appears in the second issue of Pamela's Tale, retelling the events of the first film. Naturally, her role is much larger here.
