After the events of Princes of Darkness where Alex helps save the world the world by using binding tatoos and Eclipso's black diamond to trap Eclipso for killing his cousin the second wildcat. Alex joins Black adams army to help bring peace to Kahndaq with Atom smasher, Soseh Mykros and Brainwave (who is being controlled by mister mind).

Alex's tatoos grant him full use of Eclipso's powers. During the conquest him and Soseh become lovers. When the JLA attacks Kahndaq Alex and Soseh fight Hourman and hawkgirl during the battle Alex attempts to blast hourman. Hourman dodges the blast and it hits Soseh: Ripping through her body the blast kills her on the spot. After the death eclipso takes control of Alex and with his usual line "vengance is mine" it is revealed that during the fight Alex's binding tatoos were messed up by the wound on Alex's Shoulder.

Alex who still has some control jumps from the building the fight was taking place on ultimantly commiting suicide the Eclipsos Diamond survives the fall to further plauge the earth.

Alex was only seen using blasts from eclipsos diamond although he still had all the other demons powers.
