I'll admit it, I've never played Halo. I'm a PS3 guy. Sorry. Deal with it. Not even Bendis or Maleev can get me to buy this book. But since the first issue sold out (most likely due to the low orders, right?) I'll avoid buying this so the real fans can buy it. I wouldn't want to deprave someone from reading about the adventures of the Master Chief.
The Master Chief has been captured. Earth is overrun by the enemy. The fate of the universe lies in the balance as Halo: Uprising #2 (of 4), from the Eisner-winning team of writer Brian Bendis and artist Alex Maleev, arrives in stores this Wednesday! So issue #1 of Halo sold out last Wednesday. No thanks to me. I passed on it. I'm just not an X-Box guy. Sorry. This is tempting with both Bendis and Maleev on it but I just don't have much interest in Halo. Maybe I'm missing out. Can someone convince me otherwise?
Because you demanded it! Marvel is pleased to announce that the red hot Halo: Uprising #1 (of 4), which sold out at Diamond in less than 24 hours (though copies may be available at the retail level), will return with a new printing! Do I really need to tell you you should be reading Daredevil. I remember when Bendis was writing and word got out that he was giving up the title to do other things. Everyone was worried that it wouldn't be as good. Well, nothing against Bendis, but I've been loving Brubaker's writing. Pure gold. So this is the typical jumping on point.
Matt Murdock has gone to hell and back over the past two years…but it’s all about to get worse for the Man Without Fear in Daredevil #100! The Eisner-winning “Best Writer” Ed Brubaker and Eisner-nominated artist Michael Lark join with some legendary friends to bring you an unforgettable anniversary issue. Featuring a cavalcade of guest creators—from John Romita Sr. to Alex Maleev—this is the beginning of the most shocking new story arc yet, as Daredevil discovers the true meaning of fear! And did we mention the issue features three different covers? Michael Turner and Lee Bermejo provide the 50/50 variant covers, while Marko Djurdjevic has produced a gorgeous wraparound cover that’ll have your jaw on the floor!
Jeff Marsick of Newsarama.Com exclaimed, “The uber-team of Brubaker and Lark continue their amazing and nearly flawless work and make issue one hundred one of the most anticipated books of the year.”
“The edgy, noir style of Brubaker’s writing and of Daredevil’s world is translated flawlessly to the page in Michael Lark and Stefano Gaudiano’s artwork,” said Kevin Powers of SilverBulletComicBooks.Com.
Daredevil #100 begins the next deadly chapter in Matt Murdock’s life, but even if he does survive, will he ever be the same? Get onboard for this star-studded, action-packed anniversary issue and find out why everyone can’t stop raving about the Man Without Fear!

Yaaaaaawn. Sorry. I know there's (for some reason) a lot of Halo fans. I'm sure you're eagerly awaiting this issue. More power to ya. Enjoy this preview. Keep your fingers crossed that the series will continue. At least the comic has a good creative team on it.
The Eisner Award-winning team of writer Brian Bendis, artist Alex Maleev and colorist Matt Hollingsworth are back to bring you one of the most anticipated new series of the year—Halo: Uprising! Based on the hit video game series, but perfect for fans both new and old, Halo: Uprising #1 begins the tale of the heroic Master Chief’s struggle to reach Earth before the evil Covenant’s engines of war get there first! Set in the time period between Halo 2 and Halo 3, Halo: Uprising answers all those questions that fans have been asking for years, and introduces new characters into the Halo mythos! And now fans can get their first look at the stunning interior art of Maleev, along with the first three covers to this can’t-miss limited series!
“It was an honor to be asked to add something to the Halo pot,” said writer Brian Michael Bendis. “To bring to Halo what the graphic novel brought, some humanity and perspective—something you can't get in the game based solely on the nature of the different mediums. Alex and I also have tried to create a juicy sci-fi story that even if you don't play or know anything about Halo, you could buy this and enjoy it just on its own character and storytelling momentum. But if you are a Halo die-hard you will find connections, characters, and references to not only the three Halo games, but the novels as well.”
Fans have fallen in love with Halo’s mix of intricate storytelling, stunning visuals and intense action, all of which Bendis & Maleev bring to Halo: Uprising #1. If you’re looking to quench your thirst for authentic Halo action and thrills, then don’t miss this bold new limited series!
