where did the lantern come from pre-crisis, post, zero hour, 52.

i just mostly what the earth 2/two story away from the gaurdians because they don't exist in earth two

In the golden age, the magic metal came from space and was shaped into a lamp like aladdin's lamp and later on was shaped into a train lantern. In the bronze age, the golden age origin was tied to the magic gathered by the Guardians of the Universe. Post-coie, the magic called starheart sort of had a personality sometimes. In the New 52 earth 2, the magic comes from the earth itself and the earth even talks.

That just about covers it...but man does it sound ridiculous all laid out like that.

The Guardians of the Universe basically gathered all the magic they could into a rock. Piece of that rock broke off and fell on to earth. Alan Scott found it.

Current Earth 2 Green Lantern is powered by the Planet earth itself. His powers come from the star heart which is Earth's spirit as it can be called. He's the only GL on Earth 2 and it would seem the only one for a very long time. So No Guardians gave this GL his power the Planet Earth itself did.
