The Greatest Comic book writer ever
Most of the writers mentioned here are amazing and all truly deserve recognition......except Frank Miller, the guy is a hack with no depth, creativity, or vision....sorry for all the hate but i cant understand why he would be put in a list with some of these other greats.
Lastly IMO Stan Lee's work is not the best out of these people but for some reason he stands out from the others....maybe its just his imagination and all the memorable characters he creted....his works may have not been the greatest but he truly is one of the godfathers of modern comics.

"gunswordfist said:"Esther Cotillard LeBeau said:i like good comics. Miller doesnt write good comics. Thanks for coming out though. better luck next time.""Ummmmm.....No Miller? You don't like good comics?"AnywayMoore, Morrison, Dixon, Johns"
lol I'm just messing with you. I completely understand why you hate Miller. Just don't badmouth Bendis...
.except Frank Miller, the guy is a hack with no depth, creativity, or vision....Seriously? I understand calling him uncreative as i dont think he is a particularly original thinker but he has depth and vision. His Martha Washington series is a fantastic satire of modern culture, and Sin City was a revelation in style when it first appeared - no one else has so fully embodied film noir in an alternative medium.
"has anyone read Moore's parody of Miller's daredevil?
"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh man if this real then I'll make it the first comic I'll actually purchase.
I agree that Alan Moore is amazing. I've been reading his books almost exclusively lately. It seems that now one mentioned the fact that he did the League books. I just finished the second volume and there were things that happened in this book that took me completely by surprise, and they were just great twists. Absolutely a great writer, and definitely my favorite.

He did League books?! But then again I did know he did 'The Man Who Has Everything'
"I would put Gaiman over Moore in terms of storytelling, honestly. Moore is probably my second choice though."
*strangles Korg*
"gunswordfist said:I was jk at first put *buys a REAL .45 and shoots Korg with it*"*strangles Korg*"If you can't deal with the fact that Moore's legend exceeds his ability then I'm sorry, but violence won't reconcile that. Also, Bendis is even more overrated than Miller."
"Gaiman is also one of the greatest, no need to hate gun..."
I'm not hating. I was jk. Korg is realy a great g...*gets revived and cuts Korg into a million pieces with a rusty penny*
"I killl more people each year than any of you.....I AM DRUNK DRIVING!"
HAHAHAHA!!!!....hey that's not funny. That's *hits Korg with a car*
"xstefanx said:yeah he did, I loved they were great. I heard recently that theres talk of him making a third book. Apparently he wants to do it in the style of a musical, should be a bit strange I think, but then again the man himself is a bit odd imo, still a great writer at that though."I agree that Alan Moore is amazing. I must say I agree with this list I dont know about Reed though
Ellis is really great If ya ll have not read black Summer you should!
I like Frank Miller and Moore is great too
I dont know if moore is the greatest writter ever But I will say that watchmen is more than likely the greatest story But I dont know if moore in total is better than all the others
"John Valentine said:"Lunacyde said:?""I killl more people each year than any of you.....I AM DRUNK DRIVING!"
Get out."
That's not funny.
"John Valentine said:Great. I have a sense of humour, but drinking driving is not, in any way, funny."That's not funny."Go to the dollar store and buy yourself a sense of humor. Or get out."
"gunswordfist said:He still writes?! Everyone makes it sound like he's in a little house on a little island getting drunk while ripping up reprints of V For Vendetta while in a Pinstriped suit."xstefanx said:yeah he did, I loved they were great. A friend told me that he had an interview in wizard magazine and that's when he said that he was planning on writing this.

i have to say moore has a sort of poetic view when it comes to comic from what he did in swamp thing to the more popular watchmen. he never stops amazing me. miller comes a close 2nd because of the work in the ronin and the epic 300. and i could never forget what Giaman did to the spawn series and the sandman. every body else that has been mention is just a bounes to me.
"Aaron Simone Kirkman "
Kirkman is good, I had almost forgotten him. He did Marvel Zombies, didn't he?
I don't know if I could consider Stan Lee better than Moore. Then again, Moore was one of the first writers to go out there and add more violent and edgy concepts. Stan Lee is probably only better suited to family friendly concepts.
Jack Kirby is the overall best though. Look up his resume and you'll realise he came up with a score of genius ideas.
Not sure yet about Robert Kirkman. His Walking Dead series is brilliant but that's mainly because nobody else has ever considered tapping into a zombie horror series before.
.Alan Moore ya he should be number 1
All so I have to mention Doug Moench loved his Moon Knight books.
I do not see Bendis this guy ,garbage House of M, His Moon Knight was nothing special and he is now trying really hard to kill Guardians of the Galaxy maybe I need to read some of his older books but the ones I have tried to read are all real bad except Moon Knight but even that was kinda blah..
