Favorite Alan Moore story

Alan Moore has written may great stories over the years. Which one is your favorite? It can be either a short story or one of his novels. For me, it would be the Killing Joke. Watchmen would be close second though.

Personally liked Watchmen the most. Its the most obvious and mainstream choice, but that's just me. Killing Joke would be my second favorite.

That story where he wrote a story for DC but then he left DC then some years later, DC ripped off the idea and made a whole goddamn event out of it. Nyahahahahaha!

The Killing Joke or Watchmen.

The Killing Joke followed by Watchmen as Killing Joke was just so great a read, and easily my favourite Batman story as well as overall favourite, and Watchmen is just so brilliant, and unique.

I really love the first collected volume of Swamp Thing. It's a great hero-villain face-off story. Swamp Thing wins with a philosophical argument as opposed to force!

Killing Joke. I also really liked Swamp Thing and Watchmen.

Even though he can be really insane in his rants, I have to say it's hard to choose just one because they're all great. If had to single one story out it wold be For the Man who has Everything or Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow followed closely by the Killing Joke. Watchmen is also great. . I may be the minority on this one but I never really thought League of Extraordinary Gentleman was THAT good.

The Ballad of Halo Jones is my favourite at the moment.

I mainly like it because I think it has more heart than many of his other stories.

  1. Saga of the Swamp Thing from his first issue (19 or 20?) through the seige on Gotham would be my favorite. I'm not a big fan of the space stories.
  2. Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow
  3. Watchmen
  4. For the Man Who has everything

Don't really love the Killing Joke or V for Vendetta. Still haven't read League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Promethea, or From Hell yet.

For the Man Who Has Everything is my favorite, but he is my favorite comic author, so I love nearly everything he does.
