Al Kurzrok was a comic-book artist who worked with Harvey Comics on Casper and Richie Rich. His work for Marvel was primarily letters and some writing for Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos as well as some Westerns, Strange Tales and The Uncanny X-Men. Although he was considered a bullpen artist in the heyday of Marvel, he is not particularly well known.
He eventually left comics to become a Psychologist though he continued to use his cartooning skills within his new field.
Allan Kurzrok passed away May 3, 2005 after a long battle with a dibilitating poisoning by freon gas. He had been exposed to the freon leaking from an air conditioner in his bedroom while he was asleep, and spent several years in several assisted living facilities in Sarasota, FL.
