    One Last Flight

    The Story:
Amelia Earhart shows Blythe an airplane she has been working on and lets Blythe name it. Renee sends Blythe accompanied by Mrs. B and Fletcher (who Blythe finds out are hyperpracts as well) on a mission to find a piece of lost luggage with only a claim tag as a clue. They find the luggage and the surprise inside is a book written by Jules Verne about the history of flight in the 21st century that was written in 1899. Blythe is upset that this book contains everything in her future before she's lived it. Both her and Zayn decide together to destroy the book. Blythe goes on one last flight and encounters Lancaster, loses a friend, and becomes engaged.

    My Thoughts:
This was the finale to the very creative and ambitious series Air. G. Willow Wilson it seemed had a few last tricks up her sleeve for these final issues. I wasn't quite sure what to expect for the ending of this series honestly. While the series was given a happy ending (aside from one death) it's written nicely and has you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

The art by M.K. Perker always has me excited to read this series. I love his pencils and the way he captures facial expressions. What I also really liked about this volume were the covers. The covers for this series have always been interesting and unique, but these final few covers were amazing. My favorite has to be the cover for the vert last issue. I think it's a good send off and a very fitting cover for the series. While at first glance, the cover may seem simple and plain, but to me it was so much more. Blythe has her hand up saluting, almost as if she's bidding farewell to all the readers.

I strongly encourage all comic readers to give this series a chance. It's not very long at all, only a total of four volumes (24 issues). The multiple themes throughout this series are brilliantly told in new, exciting and creative ways that will have you eager to read more. It's to bad the series was canceled, however I felt it had a good run and maybe it was for the best.

    Rating: 4.5/5
