Ahura
Ahura is a comic book character that first appeared in Marvel Graphic Novel #39Ahura, the son of Black Bolt and Medusa.
History
When the Kree refugees came to Attilan for refuge, they actually came to kill Ahura and the rest of the Inhuman Royal Family. Ahura was seen along with Gorgon, Black Bolt, Medusa and Karnak in a garden since the Inhuman Royal Family renounced their claim of power. However, before they can shoot, Black Bolt senses them and fires a bolt of energy at them. Ahura is covered by his mother, Medusa, and tells her he can use his powers to help but she refuses to allow it. Medusa tells him he would be in danger and she won’t have that. Medusa and the rest are knocked out while Black Bolt is in the ion field. Ahura goes and unlocks Black Bolt. He is then teleported outside of Attilan by the Kree tents. He is given a shield that protects him until the boss of the Kree comes and tells them the situation.
Ahura is the son of Black Bolt and Medusa of the Inhumans. He was conceived without permission of the Genetics Council, and born on Earth in defiance of this Council. His birth cry demonstrated his father's devastating power, but this evolved into a psionic "evil eye" power that can cause death. His powers are relatively dormant. He was taken by the Council and sent to Earth, but his spacecraft crashed and he was taken in by a childless couple and named "Pope". He grew unnaturally quickly and it was in this period that his "evil eye" power replaced his vocal powers.
After his rescue by Gorgon and Karnak, he was taken by the Genetic Council for the leader's own purposes. With the help of his family, he was able to overcome the corrupt Chief Justice who had been stealing his power. He has been out of sight for years, but just recently his whereabouts have been revealed. His existence seems overlooked in the Son of M series. Crystal demands the Inhumans go to Earth and retrieve her daughter, Luna. Medusa and Black Bolt refused to intervene, to which Crystal bitterly retorts they would understand if they had children. Medusa then looks upon Crystal silently with contempt. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Medusa and Black Bolt have little to do with their child, or it may in fact be a continuity error. However, Silent War reveals that Ahura has been locked away for years because he is afflicted with the same madness as his uncle, Maximus. As his powers grew, so did his insanity. The Genetic Council of Attilan deems him too dangerous and he is taken to the Pacifiers to suppress his powers.
The Pacifiers are unable to treat his
mental illness. Black Bolt forbids Medusa to see him but she reveals that she
has visited him twice. The first time, Ahura chastised her for allowing this to
happen to him. On Medusa's second (and most recent) visit, it is revealed that
years with the Pacifiers have taken away Ahura's anger and violence, but left
him in an over sedated state. Medusa asks permission from Black Bolt to use
Luna to attempt to heal his mind, but he flatly refuses.
Powers
Initially, hypersonic scream. Later, his power evolves into a psionic "evil eye" which can cause death, but this is largely dormant. However as his power grew, it caused insanity that only grew.
