Honored Fallen Lantern from the planet Glazzonio. Edit
Ahtier of Glazzonio was a distinguished officer of the Green Lantern Corps. Ahtier stood with her fellow Green Lanterns in the defense of Oa from the being known as Legion.
Years later, Athier fought alongside her fellow Lanterns against the undead army of the renegade Guardian Krona and his master Nekron, Lord of the Unliving.
In the years before the universal Crisis, Ahtier was fighting a Coltan Raider ship and was seriously wounded when the starship self-destructed.
Ahtier plummeted from space to the planet Zymia below. Unfortunately for the injured Lantern, Zymia was a planet known for their strong opposition to the Green Lantern Corps.
Ahtier's impending death was made more tragic by the fact that she was pregnant. Upon death, a Lantern's power ring was programmed to locate a worthy successor. The ring was not programmed to consider the fate of the soon-to-be-born child within Ahtier's womb.
Bruun, a local Zymian woman, faced her own tragedy nearby. Bruun's husband had been killed by the falling debris of the exploding Coltan Raider. Despite her pain, Ahtier's ring sensed strength within Bruun and selected her as Ahtier's successor.
Bruun was horrified by the sight of the Green Lantern. Despite Bruun's evident disgust, Ahtier knew she was dealing with a fellow Green Lantern. Before she died, Ahtier asked the Zymian Lantern to care for her newborn child.
Bruun was stirred by this dying request and instructed the ring to recount Ahtier's past. Bruun learned the history of the Corps and vowed to uphold its tenants and protect all life, including her predecessor's newborn baby.
Ahtier's remains reside in the Crypts of Oa.
