Marvel Agents of Shield Episode #1 Review 0

I came into this first episode with pretty low expectations, it looked like it was going to be just OK, and I wasn't even sure I was going to watch it or not. It really surprised the hell out of me, and it has the potential to be one of my new favorites now that Breaking Bad is going to end next week :(.The GoodIt was fun as hell. From the Whedony humor, to the fun action, I enjoyed almost every second of it. I wasn't bored at any time, it kept me sucked into the plot. Witch comes to my next poi...

Agents of SHIELD, better than it sounds. 0

I'm not much for watching TV, and even less for reviewing what's on it. So please bare with me, as this is my first and (currently) only TV show review so it may be a little off. Agents of SHIELD is a rare exception to my norm of not reviewing TV shows. Perhaps it's because it is a TV show rooted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or because I really like Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson. Who knows, who cares? The important thing is I was really pleased with this first episode. I did not expect...

    Agents of SHIELD "Pilot" - They aren't a Team....Yet 0

Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.(which I’m just going to start calling SHIELD for now on) at first blush seems too big to fail. There is no such thing as too big to fail, especially in the extremely volatile and impatient world of Network television. Yes, it’s Nerd God Joss Whedon (and his cadre of helpers) first show since Dollhouse, making for more than enough reason to watch at least the pilot. But in the grand scheme of things Joss Whedon is small fry, OK more like medium fry thanks to The A...

    The Centipede 10

This is a series that I've been excited by for quite a while now and I'm glad that it's finally out. Following the greatness of the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far I was slightly sceptical when I heard that they were developing films for stuff like S.H.I.E.L.D. as although I like S.H.I.E.L.D. I don't think it would work as a stand alone film. A TV series however is much more interesting as it can explore the more unique things that S.H.I.E.L.D. agents go through so I was happy to hear that they...

A few years after the cancellation of Heroes, executive producer Jeph Loeb brings us another series about super-powered beings being monitored by a high tech quasi-governmental organization. And as with Heroes, the threat of an "exploding man" is the catalyst for the series (in this case a version of Deathlok). The series, masterminded by Marvel's Film/TV strategist, Joss Whedon, who brings his usual bag of tricks to the table, including J. August Richards (from Buffy/Angel) who does a great job ...
