    Why the dark before the dawn? 0

    I’m a media studies major so I tend to come at things with a different perspective than my equally nerdy friends who are majoring in more “applicable” studies like nursing, engineering, and stuff. After watching “The Only Light in the Darkness” I went over some of my old reviews of Agents of SHIELD and more recently Game of Thrones.     A Series Re-Energized 0

    Ever since the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it feels like Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been re-energized. "The Only Light in the Darkness" is an example of that. Sure, it's a monster-of-the-week type episode as Coulson and Fitz / Simmons have to recapture an escaped supervillain; but it also finally feels like a spy thriller thanks to the infiltration and betrayal of Ward (though I'm still predicting they're going to eventually reveal that he was secretly a double-agen...
