The first half of “F.Z.Z.T.” is perfunctory at best. People are dying around sudden static electrical storms. The kids from the Magic School Bus are called into investigate, plot kicked off. Sadly, “F.Z.Z.T.” does not serve as the origins for Hulk villain Zzzax.Death is meaningless in comics. They always come back. This does not mean that the events therein are not meaningless. AoS Continues to Evoke The X-Files 0
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD continues to evoke The X-Files more than the comics it is supposedly based on. That's both good and bad. Bad when it emphasizes walking around office buildings (like last episode), but good when it focuses on creepy supernatural happenings, like the opening of this episode where a terrified boy scout troop loses their scout master, only to find him suspended in midair and crackling with electricity!Still, the episode doesn't really sustain that tension throughout.
