Age of X question.....

So is this supposed to be the "New Mutants" of this "era/universe"!!??? And is that Dust??

it's so strange that this is an alternate reality where both Hellion AND Karma retain the cybernetic implants they've recently acquired in 616

Both of them are more extreme, though (I think)
In AoX hellion lost both of his arms, not just his hands
And it looks like Karma lost her whole leg

@Thunderscream: Gives em more of a character!! Plus I read somewhere that this "reality" is supposed to be kinda similar to the 616 reality but except for the X-Men being formed part!!

@papad1992: I'm struggling to think of how it can be similar to 616, when majority of events occured to certain characters because of them being X-Men/

I know that Hellion is meant to have lost his arms a lot earlier in this new universe, so he's had more time to adjust & adapt. I didn't realise it effected poor Karma too until I saw this image in the solicitations.

Oh I didn't think of that as Cypher I just assumed it was Cannonball....but yeah the suit kinda looks technarchy-ish. Maybe bonded to Warlock safely.

He always has a sullen look on his face. I also suspect this is the gestalt-merged Douglock, but I wonder if his personality will be more like the Douglock from Excalibur?

I do miss Douglock. I kinda hope he could be a confident hero type. He kinda looks like that New Hellion from the X-Force days Paradigm when a technomorph joined with a piece of phalanx.

@PrinceIMC: I know who you mean. Maybe that design somehow stuck in the back of someone's head? Although I remember being glad when they revealed in that New Hellions story that Paradigm wasn't Doug or Warlock :)

So which power set do u think Moonstar is going to have!??!! She had so many over the years! The bow and arrows are obvious but those arrows don't look like her psychic ones.

they said that Age of X was originally pitched as a huge X-student crossover with the New Mutants, New X-men, Generation X, and the Young X-men...but while they were getting it all together they realized that Age of X could be a lot better so the student X-over was scrapped but from what Mike Carey has said Age of X will still have a lot of the characters from the original idea

Now that I found this image.... I keep squealing like a little girl!!! Can't wait until this comes out!!!! I'm just really curious about Moonstar's powers?? Plus is that Magik in the middle or Magma??? Most likely Magik!! Hopefully the writers will just keep her history simple unlike her 616 character!!!

Why is Cannonball not part of the New Mutants?

I'm thoroughly pleased with Magma's appearance. Although its asking a lot, I would have loved to touch on the History behind each character. So, how did Magma escape Selene without the X-Men? How did Karma lose her legs? et, ect.

Age of X has so much potential for an entire line. But I believe Carey can do wonders in just 6 isssues.

I have to say I def. agree with that observation. It will be interesting to see who these events came to pass. I have to say that I'm loving the QR reader things that they are giving us. I hope this lives up to the expectations. I read that this crossover will have ramifications on the 616 universe but we'll just have to wait and see.
