Age of Ultron: Book three
The Good
Age of Ultron is a book that started at a high standard and, by the third issue of the series, kept up that standard. It's a huge action packed event that, even though it's fast paced and exciting, manages to sneak in small emotional scenes that really get at you, a great example is this issue's Luke Cage/ Spider-Man scene. I won't spoil it but it is so sad, made me think this event is getting serious.
Bryan Hitch's art is amazing. I think it's a shame that he's leaving halfway through the event because it would've been amazing to see him draw the entire story.
Captain America's plan is very interesting, it shows you how desperate these once god-like people have become. The scene in which Luke Cage has to punch She-Hulk is brilliant, and seeing the former home of the Avengers, fifth avenue, crumble around them was a really great idea.
Finally, the reveal, I guess it'll be all over the internet soon but I'm not spoiling it. It's so shocking that I think it'd sort of take away if you just read it on the internet.
The Bad
There honestly is not much bad I can pick out about this issue, the only thing I didn't like was that it ended. Left me wanting to read so much more, which I guess could be seen as a good thing.
The Verdict
This was a brilliant issue, keeping up the great standard it presented with the first two issues. If you can only afford one book this week, make it this one.
