The big event that is not so big is here

So another year another event from Marvel. They once said that after Siege they'll take a break from events for a couple of years but that never happened.Every year around March we got the prologue or the first issue of the new event and the event for 2013 is here.Sometimes I think that Marvel's characters can't take a break but they don't think so.

It looks like we have a first issue of a big event centered around only one particular character and that guy is Hawkeye. The whole issue is about his solo adventure in saving his friend Spider-Man from Hammerhead and Owl.It's a normal thing about Bendis to do.The book is supposed to be an event but things are moving around particular characters that the writer likes. The push from Marvel for certain characters is sometimes good but it can quickly get out of control and that is what is happenning with Hawkeye here. After the movie Marvel started putting more money in Hawkeye and franchise that is connected with him but it is getting annoying and I can't get to like him more if Bendis continues writting him so much off character. For god's sake in this issue he was killing thugs like a lunatic and he even shot a girl in the elbow with an arrow because she didn't want to run.It looks like Bendis is writing a new type of Hawkeye.

Other thing is that as always the first issue is just putting things on the field and we are not seeing the actual thing.Everything is just setting up and we didn't even get to see Ultron and that is a big mistake. He is one of the biggest baddies Marvel has to offer and the Avengers have and we get a whole event for his evilness and we don't get to see him.Strange but Marvel like it.

One of the good things about this issue was the artwork of Brian Hitch.I am not a big fan of his work but in this issue things were just perfect with him.He made things gritty, dark and the action scenes were pretty cool.I hope that in next issues things will get better because I actually want this to be good because of Ultron. And let's hope that Ultron will be handled well by Bendis and that the team of Bendis and Hitch does their work better.

I have been looking forward to this story for ages. Ever since it was teased in Avengers #12.1 I have been really looking forward to this story, as I'm a huge fan of Bryan Hitch's art, and I love Ultron as a character. I was however disappointed to notice low ratings on this issue, and was dreading how bad it might be. I still however hope the series good overall.PlotIn an apocalyptic future Ultron rules, and the remaining heroes live underground. Hawkeye goes on a mission to rescue Spider-Man, ...

This well I could not wait for this event seriously could not wait for it when it was announced I immediately made room to buy it all as it looked suitably epic so you know how I felt when it got a lot of negative reviews (disappointed)PlotUltron has taken over the world and has destroyed most of it. Hawkeye breaks into a building to save Spider-man but meets resistance when he discovers it is run by Owl and Hammerhead.ReviewThis does not feel like the actual event it feels more like a prelude t...
