Executive Editor Mike Marts announced today that he is leaving Marvel to join the upstart company Aftershock comics as Editor-in-Chief. Reported by Deadline, Marts will be joining former Marvel writer Joe Pruett to start this new company. Marts has been at Marvel for about a year and was working on GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. He is also known for his work at DC where he edited BATMAN, which includes the Pre-52 Grant Morrison run on the book.
Marts and Pruett are joining co-CEO Michael Richter, from eBay and Facebook and the other co-CEO Jon Kramer, who was involved in reality television. In addition, there's Aftershock President Lee Kramer who once worked at Mandalay Pictures.
