The Tarantula Strikes
Vivian Dale has been abducted by the Tarantula. Wesley Dodds decides to investigate, as the Sandman. The police place Dale's house guests, and employees, under house arrest. The Sandman prowls about Dale's mansion. The Sandman spies the Tarantula, moving through the darkened corridors. The Sandman discovers a hidden passageway, leading to a secret room. Within the room, an armed man stands guard over Dale.
The Sandman tranquilizes the guard, and Dale, as well. The Sandman discovers one of Dale's guests, one Mister Crossart, absent from his room. The Tarantula discovers the sleeping bodies of Dale, and the guard. The Tarantula tries to murder the Sandman, only to fire on a decoy. The Sandman tranquilizes the Tarantula, revealed to be Crossart, then leaves him bound to Dale's bedpost, to be discovered by the police.
