Adam Newman, also called android-1, was one of the first sintetic duplicates robot created for Superman to help him in his never ending battle. However he was rejected because it was to sensible to electricity. Heartbroken , he developted a devious plot to revenge from SUperman by making him believe than he was plain old Clark Kent and all his life as Superman was a delusion.
The plan worked perfectly and Superman believed than he always was Clark Kent. However when Adam was exposed to radiation saving, the real Superman returned to help a repentant machine, who in his last breath, take the name of Adam Newman for him.
