    A petty criminal is using wayward boys to steal from wealthy people, until Superman gets involved.

    1. Superman in the Slums - (Siegel/Shuster) When Clark Kent witnesses a juvenile delinquent being sentenced, he becomes aware of a fence named Gimpy who's exploiting the youths of the city's slums. After dealing with Gimpy and rescuing the boys Gimpy had set up for a fall, Superman turns his attention to the larger problem - the slums themselves!

    The Kind of Superman Story You'd Only Get in the Golden Age 0

    This issue of Action Comics features the first cover by Fred Guardineer - one of the best cove artists of the Golden Age.Given the poor quality of all the non-Superman material last issue, I opted to read only the Superman story in this issue. 'Gimpy the Fence' as it's come to be known (originally it was untitled), is the kind of Superman story that could only come from the Golden Age. We'd never see one like this today.     This time Superman help a bunch of kids who choose the path of stealing and lowlife habits, to come back to the right way, by kicking the ass of the guy who's a bad inflence and destroy an entire neighberhood. After that everything is rebuilt and everyone is happy, not very close of the injustice story, but again, my hating... Other stories are not worthy, and their quality not always on top in this one......
